Performs coverage and complementarity analysis for multispecies data sets

Complementa is a CAPFITOGEN3 tool particularly useful for in situ conservation that allows to correctly perform complementarity analysis (Rebelo method) using cells (dividing the target area into a grid with cells of size defined by the user) or networks of protected areas (provided by the user) as reference areas. Also, CAPFITOGEN3 provides maps of these networks downloaded and adapted (ready to use) from www.protectedplanet.net (World Database on Protected Areas – WDPA). When a complementarity analysis for protected areas is requested, Complementa can also perform a coverage analysis of said areas on the distribution of occurrences.
