Sudden decrease or loss of hearing has been rarely reported in people taking PDE5 inhibitors, including VIAGRA. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to the PDE5 inhibitors or to other factors. If you experience sudden decrease or loss of hearing, stop taking VIAGRA and contact a doctor right away.
I am on birth control for its main reason, as well as for bad cramps and acne. OTC Lo has been horrible for my skin--but I have have stuck it out for 11 months!
But the headache...everyone tells me what it's not, but I can't find out what it is. There is no tumor. The blood vessels "looked" ok on the last scan, but at least once a day the pain increases and my temple actually swells. Something isn't right and I feel like because I've had so many other problems my docs think I'm either a hypochondriac or drug seeking. Now this is why I'm posting.
At the follow-up I tried to mention symptoms but didn't get past the jitteriness because the endo jumped in saying that he knew I had mentioned it to my PCP and while it could be thyroid related, my level is smack dab in the middle. With that he was headed for the door. I think I'll be changing endos when I go back in 5 months for another u/s and probably fna of the 1.0 cm nodule they didn't do the first time. I went back to my PCP thinking even though he has fat fingers, he has usually listened and responded well to my concerns. I was prepared with info from here and the internet about getting the free T3 and free T4. Well, he didn't order them saying they only give a picture of the right now. TSH on the other hand gives an average over 6 weeks, so he ordered that. He did say that if the TSH comes back low, they automatically do the T4. PCP said that the FNA could have released some hormone on the nodule and I said I had noticed the symptoms more after the biopsy. He also asked if I had been exercising and when I said that I had wanted to get back in to it, but with all these symptoms I couldn't, he said that the symptoms of rapid, pounding heart, shortness of breath, and increased sweating (those were the most bothersome so the only ones I mentioned to him) sounded like what a person who hasn't been exercising and starts again would have. He told me to exercise more. Yeah, right...with a rapid and pounding heart and shortness of breath? I don't think I'll be adding any workouts.
In rare instances, men taking PDE5 inhibitors (oral erectile dysfunction medicines, including VIAGRA) reported a sudden decrease or loss of vision. It is not possible to determine whether these events are related directly to these medicines or to other factors. If you experience sudden decrease or loss of vision, stop taking PDE5 inhibitors, including VIAGRA, and call a doctor right away.
